That being said, I'm here to share some of my absolute favorite lip products. Glossier's Generation G lipstick in Cake and Fresh Beauty's Tinted Lip Treatment in Honey have been my go to lip products for the past month. When I say that, I mean I've been wearing these two literally every. single. day. That is no exaggeration.![]() |

Lately, I've really been into matching my lip and cheek color too. Which means, I've not only been using these products as lip color but cheek color as well!! Two uses out of one product--which gives me life--especially as a grad student on a budget.
Each of these products apply smoothly and beautifully on their own. I tend to use chapstick before the Glossier lipstick--the extra moisture can't hurt!! The Fresh Lip Tint acts as a chapstick AND lip color, this product is super oily and slick so, you wont need to apply anything prior. I do find that both of these lipsticks wear away--especially if you have a day longer than 4-5 hours--but the beauty of these products is that they are no fuss, easy to reapply, and can be applied without a mirror.
I glide each of these on my lips and then take one finger and really tap the lipstick into my lips. I'm not sure exactly how I've started doing this, I just have, and I really appreciate the final look. I just like to make sure my lip color isn't sitting on top of my lips especially when I'm going for a natural look.
If I had to choose my favorite between the two products, if you can only get one, I definitely recommend the Fresh Tinted Lip Treatment. Honey is an absolutely gorgeous 'your lips but better' shade. It's got SPF--which for the summer months is definitely a HUGE plus, you don't need to use chapstick prior to application, and it applies beautifully on the cheeks and lips. I will definitely be purchasing another color from the Fresh range this summer-- maybe something more bold for nights out or vacation.

*Here are some pictures of me wearing minimal base makeup and Fresh Lip Treatment in Honey--on my lips AND on my cheeks-- and yes I capitalize words like AND when I'm super excited.
